Chia Portera, MD, PhD

Chia Portera, MD, PhD, is Senior Medical Director for Fortrea, based in Princeton, New Jersey. She evaluates and establishes drug development strategies for clients’ clinical research projects and provides scientific/clinical expertise to project teams. Dr. Portera develops, reviews and revises protocols, clinical trial reports, new drug applications, and other data and documents, and is responsible for medical and safety monitoring on assigned projects. She has more than 10 years of experience as a medical oncologist and medical director in clinical research and development. As a medical director at Genentech before joining Fortrea, Dr. Portera led clinical development strategies of post-market therapies for treatment of HER2+ breast cancer. She joined our company in July 2015.
